Does anyone know of any recipes (or near recipes) for the wonderful cakes, et al from Ebinger’s Bakers, a NY Baker, which had many Ebinger.s Bake shops throughout all of the 5 borough that closed somewhere in the 60’s. Supposedly the recipes were never sold or passed won. Great Coconut Custard Pies, Blackout Cakes (they were famous for this) as well some of the most wonderful white layer cakes with a “hard (FONDANT TYPE) Icing.
